Our Story

A Personal Note from Originator/ Producer Jeff Thomas

My connection to Audrey Santo's story began in 1997 when I first became aware of the extraordinary events and reported miracles surrounding her life. In 1998, I attended a Mass at Holy Cross Stadium where Audrey was present. Over the years, I witnessed firsthand many remarkable events that left a lasting impression on me and strengthened my belief that Audrey's story was one that deserved to be remembered.

The number of lives touched by Audrey and the countless accounts of healing, faith, and unexplained occurrences are truly difficult to comprehend. For decades, I carried those memories with me and often wondered why more people had not heard her story.

In 2015, I entered the film industry with the goal of producing meaningful and inspiring films. When my first planned project did not move forward, I found myself returning to a question that had been on my heart for years: What ever happened to Audrey Santo?

As I began researching her life, I discovered that despite the profound impact she had on so many people, her story had largely faded from public awareness. I felt strongly that the extraordinary events surrounding Audrey's life should not be forgotten. In 2017, I began developing what would eventually become Little Audrey.

The journey from idea to screen was long and filled with challenges, but I firmly believe God guided the right people to this project at the right time. One of those people was screenwriter Caitlin McCarthy, whose talent, passion, and understanding of the story helped bring the script to life with authenticity and heart.

In January 2025, I met director Michael Mailer. From our very first meeting, I felt a strong sense that he was meant to direct this project. Michael's vision, experience, and dedication elevated the film in ways I could only have hoped for. I was later honored when he agreed to join me as a producer. Together with producer John Buffalo Mailer and an exceptional cast and creative team, we were able to bring Audrey's story to the screen.

I firmly believe, with all my heart, that the extraordinary events and reported miracles associated with Audrey's life will one day be known throughout the world. Having witnessed many of these events firsthand and having spoken with countless individuals whose lives have been touched by her story, I believe Audrey's legacy is only beginning to unfold. I also believe that, in God's time, the Catholic Church will recognize the profound impact of her life and the many reported healings attributed to her intercession. It is my personal belief that Audrey Santo will one day be canonized as a saint, and I am honored to help share her story with future generations.

I am deeply grateful to every person who contributed their talents to this film. Most of all, I feel humbled and honored to have played a role in sharing Audrey's remarkable story with the world. It is my hope that Little Audrey inspires audiences with a message of faith, hope, perseverance, and the possibility that miracles still happen today.
